YC Dance Studio was inaugurated December 2 2018, with the main objective to promote popular Latin folkloric dances as well as the typical Latin American and Cuban dance culture. It’s Cuban born Director Yura Cantillo wishes to continue her realized work here in the US from her successful Academy in Italy for over 15 years creating a new studio with the purpose of bringing confidence, creativity and character to all her students , young and adults with her incomparable and unique dance style that opened her doors internationally to share her talent. Yura Cantillo was born in Cuba. She has been a professional Dance teacher, Performer and Choreographer for over 17 years. She studied dance starting at the age of nine at La Casa De La Cultura, a dance institute in Cuba, where she learned all spectrums of Cuban Dance. In 1990 she enrolled at the renowned Escuela De Cubanacan and after a very competitive nomination was selected as Dancer and Performer in Santa Lucia Beach, a very famous resort community in Cuba. As an adult she moved to Italy where she was the Owner, Teacher and Choreographer of one of the most importance Dance Studios in Calabria “Casa De La Cultura Cubasi” for 15 years. During those years she traveled all over the world including Europe, Africa, Middle East, and more recently in USA, to teach and perform at Latin Dance Festivals as a master instructor.
